Abstract

The given scientific paper presents significant information that chronologically describes the creation, development, and subsequent formation processes of the Georgian Navy. The Georgian Navy is one of the important directions for the country, as the state has a maritime area that represents a vulnerable aspect in the face of the clear military superiority of potential adversaries. This is especially pertinent given that the Russian Federation actively uses its naval capabilities to support operations in the ongoing military actions in Ukraine. It is also essential to share the historical experience gained by Georgia from the 2008 military conflict.

Consequently, the main goal of this paper is to familiarize the interested public with the history of the Georgian Navy, its stages of development chronologically, and the perspectives and challenges it faces in light of current realities. Additionally, the paper provides certain recommendations that could be considered to prevent mistakes in Georgia's future.
