Georgica: Journal of Georgian Studies aims to promote an interdisciplinary approach in the Humanities. Journal continues a rich tradition of its predecessors to deliver much-needed information concerning the research in the field of Kartvelology to the international academic community. The Georgian Studies (also known as Kartvelology, or Kartvelian Studies) is insufficiently represented at the international level. Journal targets an international audience for the promotion of research about Georgian history, archaeology, culture, history of arts, ethnology and philology.
The journal accepts original, peer-reviewed articles and reviews that cover a wide range of topics within the Humanities with a primary focus on Georgia.
Georgica will facilitate international integration by ensuring the journal is indexed and visible within major international scientific databases. Each article submitted to the journal will be sent for double blind peer review to the anonymous experts.
The purpose of the journal is as follows: promotion of Georgian Studies at an international level; encouragement of interdisciplinary research; and support of young researchers.
The target group of the journal is the professionals of the Humanities and the related fields: professors, scholars and young researchers from various higher educational institutions and research centers of Georgia and the rest of the world.
